Six Columbus restaurants made it to “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives”

The list of Columbus-area restaurants Fieri has visited for "Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives" is very likely to grow from six to eight soon.

Katalina's Cafe was featured on the show on Aug. 14, according to a Facebook post by Citizen Pictures.

King Gyros Greek Restaurant is scheduled to be featured in the Aug. 30 episode of Triple-D, according to a Facebook post by the restaurant.

Momo Ghar

One of several stops in Columbus included Fieri's visit to Momo Ghar, serving Tibetan and Nepalese dishes. The signature dish, jhol momo, consists of Tibetan steamed dumplings, a chicken filling, and a spicy fenugreek tomato sauce. Fieri particularly enjoyed the choila set, a Tibetan chicken salad, describing it as “one of the most-unique dishes” he has ever tried on the show.

Ena's Caribbean Kitchen

This family operated Jamaican restaurant is known for authentic dishes like its jerk chicken and red snapper with a vinegary escabeche sauce. Located within the Linden Area, Ena's Caribbean Kitchen also has brunch specials, catering, and a food truck in Cincinnati.

Sweet Carrot

Sweet Carrot offers crowd pleasing comfort food, and primarily caters weddings, parties and events. Guy Fieri tried the corn cake with beef brisket and an Ohio chicken meatball sandwich when he visited, to which he gave his stamp of approval. The sandwich has a sesame-ginger sauce drizzle and topped with roasted-corn salsa. "I’d order that again for the next five years,” Fieri said.

Ray Ray's Hog Pit

Described as a "a one-of-a-kind barbecue truck in Columbus" by Food Network, Ray Ray's Hog Pit served Fieri its super moist Mangalitsa brat burger and St. Louis spare ribs. Fun fact: James Anderson, the chef and owner featured on the show, raises his own pigs for the smoked menu offerings.

Pierogi Mountain

This dive bar in the Discovery District area of downtown Columbus serves comfort food and pierogi (filled dumplings). Pierogi Mountain is also vegan friendly, with nearly all pierogi options being vegan and vegetarian. Outside of pierogi, special dishes also include the chicken paprikash, a traditional Hungarian chicken stew with veggies and paprika over egg dough dumplings.

Loops

Loops offers Chicago-style menu options like the Italian Beef sandwich as well as authentic Greek gyros made 'the right way' that include shaved pork shoulder with house-made tzatziki sauce. You can also catch their food truck around town that displays the slogan, "Eat it. Love it. Get Out."

Guy Fieri has visited eight restaurants in Cincinnati

Senate Pub

Senate serves the Greater Cincinnati with popular bites like the duck fat fries, which recently made the USA TODAY list of America's favorite french fries. The fries are cooked twice and topped with seasonings. Crispy on the outside, these fries are known as some of the best in the area.

The Turf Club

A burger joint located in Linwood, The Turf Club offers comfort food classics with a gourmet twist and a flamboyant menu. Customers can build their own burger, or try Fieri's recommendation, the filet mignon chili with pork tenderloin and herbs.

Pho Lang Thang

Pho Lang Thang serves Vietnamese comfort food, specializing in pho, a Vietnamese soup dish with broth, rice noodles, herbs, and different meats. According to the Food Network, the beef-based broth is a fan favorite among locals. Pho Lang Thang offers both indoor and outdoor seating options for visitors.

Bakersfield OTR

A thriving atmosphere filled with Mexican street cuisine, Bakersfield made an appearance on “Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.” Bakersfield offers more than 100 tequilas and whiskeys, making taco Tuesday all the more vibrant. There is also a location in Columbus.

Taste of Belgium

Taste of Belgium offers both traditional and non-traditional Belgian cuisine. Guy Fieri described the Belgian waffles as "outstanding," and he also endorsed the Belgian pretzel with beer cheese. ToB, with restaurants in Cincinnati and Dayton, also has a robust lineup of beer.

Island Frydays

Serving Jamaican cuisine, Island Frydays' jerk chicken platter is described as "off-the-charts" by the Food Network. They say that the spice mix has "pimento seeds, habaneros, cinnamon and nutmeg." The restaurant's website, which features Guy Fieri on the front page, allows customers to order bottles of their seafood seasoning, general seasoning and marinade.

Melt Eclectic Cafe

This vegetarian-friendly spot has veggie-filled dishes packed with flavor. When describing the popular veggie 3-way, "Guy can’t believe there’s no meat in the dish," and the yeehaw BBQ Sandwich was also an enjoyable dish that was recommended.

Blue Ash Chili

Blue Ash Chili fans know about just how many ways the restaurant's chili is served. According to the show, "Learning the lingo didn't take long for Guy Fieri. He ordered the 6-way, which includes everything: chili, spaghetti, beans, onions, cheese and fried jalapeno caps."

Six Cleveland spots were also featured on the show

Momocho

Momocho's modern Mexican cuisine offers fresh to order food, and Fieri tried the guacamole served six unique ways. Machaca, a tender coffee- and chile-braised beef brisket, is also a fan favorite among the locals, according to Food Network.
