A GUIDE TO THE GOOD STUFF: MUNCHIE MAP REVEALED FOR 2024 FALL FESTIVAL

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - We’re less than a month away from the 103rd West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, and the event is taking shape.

This year’s munchie map has been released

For those organizing the 2024 West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, it can be a lot to transform Franklin Street for a week.

They say releasing the yearly munchie map is always a promising sign.

“This is a fantastic moment in the Fall Festival, this means we’re getting so much closer,” said 2024 West Side Nut Club Publicity Chair, Brandon McClish.

The map acts as a summary and guide to all the food coming to Franklin Street, from more than 125 different booths.

Organizers say it takes a lot of work to put the map together, since each year brings large numbers of both classic favorites and new innovations.

They say they aim to assemble a menu you can’t get anywhere else.

“You go through and see the uniqueness of every dessert or every chili, every soup, every sandwich, it’s one-of-a-kind type of things,” said McClish. “You’ve got to come and get that Grippo’s grilled cheese sandwich, only during Fall Festival week.”

Aside from the expansive selection of tasty treats, the map also has a lot of other information. This includes half pot ticket booths, and a first aid station, a first for this year’s festival.

Organizers say they have great partnerships with local hospitals, but this will be the first time a first aid station will be on the center of Franklin Street.

“Yes, it is the Fall Festival, but we’ve had record highs, so if there’s heat exhaustion or a child falls and scrapes their knee, we can have a centralized location,” said McClish.

This year’s festival kicks off Sunday, October 6.
