It's been a big year for Christie Brinkley. Not only did the model and entrepreneur help ring in Sports Illustrated's 60th anniversary by starring on its cover alongside other legendary alumni, but she also celebrated a milestone of her own — her 70th birthday. And it seems like that is just the start of many good things to come.
"I'm determined to make it my best chapter," the mom of three tells Shop TODAY. "I always say to my kids, 'Make it a great day, it's up to you.' It really is a mindset and an energy that you give and receive that makes it great. So I just made the decision that I was going to make [my 70s] a great decade."
And it's off to a great start. Brinkley just announced the launch of her new fashion line with HSN, TWRHLL, a collection of clothing and accessories inspired by Tower Hill, her beloved Hamptons home. She shares that after years of people trying to replicate her fashion looks, she thought it was time to create her own line of clothing, one that both she and others would want to wear.
"We want this line to be for all ages, for all sizes and for everybody to end up, when they look in the mirror, with a smile on their face," Brinkley says.

Brinkley says this blazer is one of her favorite pieces from the new collection. "I've worn that the most I think. I grab for that, it's easy to throw on," she shares. While you can style it as you would any other blazer, she says she can even picture it being worn over a red bathing suit with the sleeves pushed up. "It could be so cute on a young girl like that, and keep the sun off your shoulders. It's very lightweight and easy to wear. I like to wear it with my sailor pants."

"What I love about my line is that everybody that wears it can make it their own, they can mix and match things," she shares. Before a recent event for the brand, attendees were sent different items from the collection and Brinkley loved seeing all the different ways people styled this dress in particular. "One woman wore it with nothing on it, just a great necklace and earrings and a great pair of shoes. Another woman wore it with the belt that comes with it that matches the dress. Another replaced it with our rope belt, which we also sell. And somebody else put it over an undershirt and a pair of jeans and left it hanging open, like a long duster kind of vibe."

Earlier this year, Brinkley shared that she underwent surgery after being diagnosed with skin cancer and while speaking about it during a recent appearance on TODAY, she stressed the importance of applying sunscreen.
"After my skin cancer diagnosis, various companies sent me their range of sunblocks and I’ve narrowed my favorites down to Supergoop! and La Roche-Posay Anthelios," Brinkley says.
