‘JURASSIC WORLD REBIRTH' FIRST LOOK: SCARLETT JOHANSSON AND JONATHAN BAILEY KEEP THE DINOSAUR FRANCHISE ROARING

Universal has officially released the first look of "Jurassic World Rebirth," the seventh film in the 31-year-old franchise, starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali. Gareth Edwards ("Rogue One: A Star Wars Story," "The Creator") is directing from a script by David Koepp, who wrote the original "Jurassic Park" released in 1993.

According to an official summary, the film will be set five years following the events of "Jurassic World Dominion," when "the planet's ecology has proven largely inhospitable to dinosaurs."

"Those remaining exist in isolated equatorial environments with climates resembling the one in which they once thrived," the synopsis continues. "The three most colossal creatures within that tropical biosphere hold the key to a drug that will bring miraculous life-saving benefits to humankind."

More to come.
