SCOTTY MCCREERY STOPS SHOW TO HAVE UNRULY FAN REMOVED FOR 'UNACCEPTABLE' BEHAVIOR

Scotty McCreery is looking out for his fans. The country singer stopped cold during a performance at the Colorado State Fair last weekend when he saw a fan get assaulted, quickly bringing the music to a halt.

“Right here, that’s a lady you just hit, sir,” the North Carolina native said as the crowd gasped and booed. “Absolutely not, you just hit the lady. Police? Security? Is she OK? Get the heck out of here.”

“On God’s green earth—at a Scotty McCreery show? What are you doing?” he added. McCreery called the man's actions "absolutely unacceptable" and asked for the crowd's help in pointing out the assailant.

McCreery was in the midst of singing his hit single, "It Matters to Her," when the assault happened. The romantic number is about showing love and affection to your wife—a jarring contrast to what was happening in that moment.

The assailant was escorted out, but we don't know if he was arrested, USA Today reports.

“We can confirm that an incident took place at the Scotty McCreery concert where a man assaulted a woman and the performer stopped the show," Olga Robak, director of communications with the Colorado Department of Agriculture, told USA Today. "This incident is still under investigation and we cannot comment further.”

We're glad McCreery stood up for his fan and hope she's doing OK.
