SPECIAL ANNIVERSARY, BOBBLEHEADS, NBA EMIRATES PLAY, MORE: CLEVELAND CAVALIERS PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE IS OUT

CLEVELAND, Ohio – A special anniversary, bobbleheads for Donovan Mitchell and Myles Garrett and themed nights are part of the 2024-25 Cleveland Cavaliers’ promotional schedule.

The schedule includes giveaways and commemorative celebrations as well as the Emirates NBA Cup.

Here’s a look at what to expect:

Key dates

7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25: The Cavaliers host the Detroit Pistons in the home opener. Fans will receive a Cavaliers-inspired graphic t-shirt and rally towel.

7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30: The Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James are in town as the Cavs celebrate the 30th anniversary of Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. It is the first of several games where the anniversary will be commemorated.

Bobbleheads

Tuesday, Dec. 3, vs. Washington Wizards: Bobblehead features Browns defensive end Garrett, who also is a Cavaliers minority owner, sporting a Cavs No. 95 jersey while swinging a rally towel.

Monday, Dec. 23, vs. Utah Jazz: Yearbook giveaway.

Thursday, Jan. 9, vs. Toronto Raptors: Corduroy trucker cap.

Sunday, Jan. 12, vs. Indiana Pacers: City Edition coloring book.

Monday, Jan. 27, vs. Detroit Pistons: Knitted gloves.

Tuesday, Feb. 4 vs. Boston Celtics: Mitchell’s bobblehead recreates one of the five-time All-Star guard’s dunks from last season.

Sunday, March 16, vs. Orlando Magic: Stainless steel water bottle.

Wednesday, April 2, vs. New York Knicks: Max Strus’ bobblehead replicates his 59-foot, game-winning buzzer-beater against the Dallas Mavericks.

Sunday, April 13, vs. Indiana Pacers: The Cavs’ 23rd Fan Appreciation Day includes traditional giveaways including a clear Cavs tote bag.

Theme nights

Friday, Nov. 1, vs. Orlando Magic: Breast Cancer Awareness Night. Fans are encouraged to wear pink.

Monday, Nov. 4, vs. Milwaukee Bucks: Adidas Takeover Night. A contest will offer a pair of D.O.N. Issue No. 6 basketball shoes.

Saturday, Nov. 9, vs. Brooklyn Nets: Salute to Service. The Cavs will honor current and former U.S. military members.

Sunday, Nov. 17, vs. Charlotte Hornets: City Edition premiere. The Cavaliers will debut their 2024-25 City Edition uniform and court.

Wednesday, Nov. 20, vs. New Orleans Pelicans: Pride Night. The Cavs will celebrate the LGBTQ+ community.

Sunday, Jan. 5, vs. Charlotte Hornets: Mascot Night.

Wednesday, Jan. 8, vs. Oklahoma City Thunder: Mental Health Awareness Night.

Saturday, Jan. 25, vs. Houston Rockets: Unidos Por Cleveland.

Monday, Jan. 20, vs. Phoenix Suns: Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration.

Sunday, Feb. 2, vs. Dallas Mavericks: Kids Day.

Friday, Feb. 21, vs. New York Knicks: The Cavs’ 21st Black Heritage Celebration will kick off Black History Month. This game will begin a weekend-long celebration of BHC events.

Sunday, March 16, vs. Orlando Magic: Women’s History Celebration will celebrate women in sports.

Sunday, April 6, vs. Sacramento Kings: Autism Awareness Night aims to bring awareness to autism.

Intraleague competition

Cavs Cup (Emirates NBA Cup): Friday, Nov. 15, vs. Chicago Bulls and Tuesday, Dec. 3 vs. Washington Wizards. The Cavs will compete in Group East C in the inaugural Emirates NBA Cup. The group includes the Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks.
